The national production of dried plum is around 30,000 tons, of which 90% goes to the export market.
Argentina is the fourth largest exporter of dried plums in the world, after the United States, France and Chile. However, Argentina is now in a position to capture the market as other leading countries are beginning to eradicate their plum plantations. This will happen if the product keeps in line with the international markets’ requirements.
